About me

My name is Pedro Marcelo, I am an informatics engineer.

Apart from that I am also master of Goju-Ryu Karate (1st Dan - black belt), athlete, entrepreneur, investor, curious, autodidact and with an interest in economics and global affairs. :)

 

Since there is memory that I interact with computers.

Ever since my childhood I was fascinated by them, such a simple thing as a Tetris machine, with nothing more than two buttons and a directional fueled my curiosity to these electronic devices. I always questioned myself how they worked.

It was in my teens that this passion became more prominent. Back then I had the good old Mega Drive and I was an avid gamer (still am), I imagined how fantastic it would be to study and work in informatics and always have access to the latest releases in the gaming world, or better, be able to create them.

I couldn't be more wrong!

Not because informatics isn't a fantastic world, because it is. But I discovered something completely different from what I was expecting and a lot more interesting!

I discovered a world of communication, learning, optimization of physical and logical resources, entertainment and more recently a more social world.

All these discoveries brought me even more fascination, but also more and bigger questions. How could I optimize something that is already optimized?

 

After some research I found there was already an answer:

They called them mathematicians, physicists, scientists and inventors. All of them converged to a unique discipline, engineering.

 

I had found my path. I could resort to the latest advances in science, apply complex formulae from a legacy of centuries of study and use ingenuity and creativity to create solutions for practical problems of day to day activities.

 

With a lot of work and commitment, I became an engineer.

I am in equal parts happy and fulfilled! By doing what I like and liking what I do make happen.
